Registered Nurse RN Medical Surgical Nights

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical unit at AdventHealth La Grange in La Grange, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies - Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care and ensure effective communication - Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions ### What we're looking for - Active Illinois RN license (required) - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred) - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - Ability to interpret EKGs per unit requirements - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and clinical reasoning skills ### What's included - Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hr (~$69,888–$117,562 annualized) - Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid Time Off from Day One and 4 weeks fully paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is a faith-based health system serving the greater Chicago area with a mission rooted in whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
