Nurse Tech

A Nurse Tech (PRN, day shift) supports bedside patient care under registered nurse supervision at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport, Florida. ### What you'll do - Assist in direct patient care tasks including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and input/output documentation under RN direction - Follow CDC isolation guidelines and demonstrate appropriate use of PPE and hand hygiene protocols - Participate in obtaining nursing histories and evaluate age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, reporting abnormalities to the RN - Perform treatments appropriate to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural background, and respond appropriately in clinical emergencies - Distribute and collect dietary trays and support activities of daily living across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations - Float between unit assignments and adapt to varying inpatient care settings as needed ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of Nursing Fundamentals completed, OR completed an accredited nursing program within the past year without yet obtaining RN or LPN licensure - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required) - Demonstrated understanding of age-specific care requirements across all patient populations - Knowledge of infection control policies and regulatory compliance standards - Prior experience as a nursing assistant (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.31–$24.49/hour (~$31,845–$50,939 annualized) - PRN/per-diem scheduling with day shift availability ### About the practice AdventHealth Heart of Florida is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network serving communities across the United States.
