About this role
A Nurse Tech (PRN, day shift) at AdventHealth supports bedside patient care under registered nurse supervision at the Tampa, Florida campus on E. Fletcher Ave.
### What you'll do
- Assist with direct patient care tasks including vital signs, blood pressure recording, blood glucose monitoring, and input/output documentation.
- Perform treatments and provide age-appropriate care across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply correct PPE, and enforce infection control and safety policies.
- Document and report all procedures accurately per department policy.
- Participate in nursing history collection and report abnormal findings — behavioral, motor, or physiological — to the supervising RN.
- Float between units and adapt care to varying acuity, mobility, and cultural needs.
### What we're looking for
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (first semester of Nursing Fundamentals completed) OR graduated within the past year without yet obtaining RN/LPN licensure.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Demonstrated understanding of age-specific care requirements across all patient populations.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and infection control compliance.
- 1+ year as a nursing assistant (preferred); medical terminology knowledge a plus.

- Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour (approximately $33,010–$52,790 annualized).
- PRN scheduling with day-shift availability.
