About this role

A Nurse Tech (PRN, day shift) at AdventHealth supports bedside patient care under registered nurse supervision at the Zephyrhills, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Assist in delivering patient care by performing tasks delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse. - Document and report all procedures accurately in accordance with department policy. - Record vital signs, blood pressures, blood glucose results, and input/output (I&O) measurements. - Perform age-appropriate treatments and provide care tailored to patient mobility, acuity, and cultural needs. - Participate in nursing history collection and report abnormal findings — physical, behavioral, or developmental — to the RN. - Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply appropriate PPE, and enforce infection control and safety regulations. ### What we're looking for - Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of Nursing Fundamentals completed, OR a nursing program graduate within the past year who has not yet obtained RN or LPN licensure. - High school diploma or equivalent (required). - Active BLS/CPR certification (required). - Demonstrated understanding of age-specific care needs across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. - Ability to float between assignments and adapt to varying inpatient settings. - 1+ year of experience as a nursing assistant (preferred). ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized equivalent). - PRN scheduling with day-shift availability. - Opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience while completing nursing school. ### About the practice AdventHealth Zephyrhills is a faith-based acute care hospital serving the greater Pasco County community in Florida.
