Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, or a related health science program; Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing or a related health science preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in an acute care facility
- Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by Massachusetts law and regulation
- CPR certification required
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) required, or must be obtained within 2 years of assuming the position
- Working knowledge of nosocomial infection identification criteria, sterilization and disinfection standards, and environmental surveillance methodology
