<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Medical office setting within Baptist Medical Network, a multi-specialty physician organization serving 12 counties across South Texas</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Administers oral medications and performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing</li> <li>Prepares equipment and assists physicians during medical treatments, exams, and procedures</li> <li>Coordinates specialized consultations, referral scheduling, and insurance pre-certification for ordered surgeries and diagnostic tests</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations including phone management, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains exam room cleanliness, instrument sterilization and storage, and daily supply inventory in accordance with practice protocols</li> <li>Completes all clinical documentation in the patient medical record per practice charting policy</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program, OR a current Medical Assistant certification, OR a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting</li> <li>CPR certification required</li> <li>Formal Medical Assistant certification preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to perform clinical tasks including injections, venipuncture, and point-of-care laboratory testing</li> </ul>
