About the Community
El Paso sits at the far western tip of Texas along the Rio Grande, bordered by New Mexico to the north and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico to the south — a genuinely bicultural metropolitan area of nearly 700,000 residents. The city offers a low cost of living relative to most major Texas metros, more than 300 days of sunshine per year, and easy access to the Franklin Mountains State Park, White Sands National Park, and the broader Chihuahuan Desert landscape. El Paso's strong military presence (Fort Bliss), diverse food culture, and affordable housing make it a compelling destination for nurses seeking a high quality of life alongside meaningful clinical work.
