<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Outpatient medical office setting embedded within a 12-county South Texas multi-specialty network</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Administers oral medications; performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing</li> <li>Prepares equipment and assists physicians during medical treatments, exams, and procedures</li> <li>Coordinates specialized consultations, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered procedures and surgeries</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations: phones, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains clean, sterile, and stocked exam rooms in compliance with infection control and PPE standards</li> <li>Occasional local travel to support other clinic sites within the network</li> <li>Documentation completed in the patient medical record per practice charting policy; HIPAA compliance required</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required — OR — three (3) years of relevant healthcare experience in lieu of diploma or current MA certification</li> <li>Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferred; MA diploma plus one (1) year of relevant experience is highly preferred</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>Ability to perform occasional local travel to support additional clinic locations</li> </ul>
