Abrazo Medical Group is hiring a Patient Service Representative to support front-office operations at a physician practice location in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a non-exempt, full-time role embedded within one of the Valley's largest multispecialty healthcare networks — a system comprising approximately 20 outpatient clinic locations, five acute care hospitals, and four neighborhood emergency centers, with more than 120 employed physicians and practitioners. Practice Highlights

  • Front-office role within a multispecialty physician practice — part of a network spanning primary care and specialty outpatient settings across the greater Phoenix metro area
  • Greets and checks in patients; collects and verifies accurate patient demographics and insurance information via electronic systems
  • Answers phones, schedules, confirms, and reschedules patient appointments
  • Processes patient check-out, referral coordination, and scheduling assistance
  • Collects co-pays, posts charges, and handles patient balance processing and charge entry
  • Educates patients on office policies, practice information, and patient portal enrollment
  • Operates within a HIPAA-compliant environment with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience; experience in a hospital or physician office setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with patient registration, insurance verification, and electronic health record data entry is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suited to a patient-facing environment
