<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; no evenings or weekends</li> <li>Greets, instructs, and schedules patients in a prompt and courteous manner</li> <li>Registers new and returning patients into the computer system; verifies and updates demographic, address, and insurance information</li> <li>Collects payments and enters charges into the practice management system</li> <li>Answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, and routes information to appropriate clinical staff</li> <li>Serves as a liaison between patients and clinical support staff</li> <li>Determines and inputs daily balance of charges and receipts as assigned</li> <li>Maintains a neat and orderly reception and work area</li> <li>Adheres to OSHA regulations and established office policies and procedures</li> <li>Reports directly to the Office/Practice Manager</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li> <li>Strong communication skills with consistent use of judgment and discretion</li> <li>Typing or data entry proficiency at 40 WPM</li> <li>Knowledge of front-office procedures and medical terminology</li> <li>Proficiency with medical office technology and practice management software</li> <li>Two years of front-office experience using medical management software preferred</li> <li>Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred</li> <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public</li> </ul>
