This non-exempt role is the first point of contact for patients and plays a central part in keeping the practice running smoothly — from scheduling and check-in through charge entry and referral coordination. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical office assistant program preferred
- Healthcare management or administration certification preferred
- Minimum two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with insurance verification, co-pay collection, charge entry, and referral coordination
- Comfort working in an electronic health record or practice management system environment
