<p>Providence Medical Partners — part of the El Paso Physician Network — is recruiting a Medical Assistant to join its primary and specialty care team in El Paso, TX. This non-exempt, clinic-based role works directly alongside physicians and other providers, delivering hands-on patient care across a multi-specialty ambulatory setting that serves patients of all ages. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Ambulatory medical office setting within a distinguished multi-specialty physician network serving all age groups</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, health history intake, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Medication administration including oral medications, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Phlebotomy (venipuncture) and both CLIA-waived and non-CLIA-waived laboratory testing performed in-office</li> <li>Physician and provider assistance during medical treatments, exams, and procedures, including equipment preparation</li> <li>Coordination of specialist referrals, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered procedures and surgeries</li> <li>Front-desk support functions: answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Instrument cleaning, sterilization, and storage; exam room stocking and medical supply inventory management</li> <li>Occasional local travel to support other clinic locations within the network</li> <li>Charting and documentation completed in the patient medical record per practice policy; HIPAA compliance required throughout</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required — OR — three (3) years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of a diploma or current MA certification</li> <li>Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program preferred; MA diploma plus one (1) year of relevant experience is the strongly preferred profile</li> <li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel locally to support other clinic sites as needed</li> </ul>
