Practice Highlights

  • Primary platform: Cerner EMR — role requires deep functional expertise and the ability to train and support end users across all clinical departments
  • Purposeful hospital rounding is a core daily function — this is a floor-level, hands-on support role, not a desk-based position
  • Direct at-the-elbow support provided to both physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless EMR integration into clinical workflow
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent, policy-aligned, and standards-compliant use of the EMR across the facility

  • Serves as a formal "voice of the customer" conduit — regularly collecting and escalating clinician feedback on EMR performance and usability to the Market Clinical Informatics Director
  • Collaborates with the Market Clinical Informatics Director on strategies to improve physician and clinician satisfaction with clinical systems
  • Participates in EMR implementation, support, and optimization efforts as needed beyond routine rounding duties

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; additional clinical or health IT education preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical hospital setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical workflow and the ability to integrate technology into active clinical practice
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills — must be comfortable educating and presenting to physician and nursing audiences
  • Must model credibility, professionalism, and a high standard of customer service when engaging clinical staff
  • Ability to develop and sustain collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, and clinical leadership
