About the Community
Detroit delivers an urban experience that consistently surprises — a cost of living well below the national average means a surgeon's compensation stretches further here than in virtually any comparable major metro. The city's cultural infrastructure is genuine and deep: the Motown Museum, a nationally recognized and diverse dining scene, all four major professional sports franchises, and a revitalized waterfront anchored by the Detroit Riverwalk and Belle Isle Park. The broader Great Lakes region opens up year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and water activities, while Detroit Wayne International Airport provides convenient domestic and international connectivity.
