About the Community
San Antonio is the second-largest city in Texas and the seventh-largest in the United States — a major metropolitan center with a low cost of living relative to comparable cities, a vibrant cultural scene rooted in deep Hispanic heritage, and a strong military and healthcare economy. The city offers outstanding public and private school options, a warm climate, easy access to the Texas Hill Country for outdoor recreation, and a thriving restaurant and arts district. For clinicians and healthcare leaders relocating from higher cost-of-living markets, San Antonio consistently ranks as one of the most livable large cities in the South.
