Practice Highlights

  • 479-bed full-service acute care hospital serving inpatient and outpatient populations across all age groups — neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Dispensing responsibilities include accurate filling and labeling of medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity
  • Automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) stocking, maintenance, cleanliness, and expired medication removal
  • Sterile product preparation and associated equipment maintenance, including IV admixture support
  • Repackaging and labeling of oral medications and extemporaneous preparations with appropriate record-keeping

  • Medication room and patient bin audits for discontinued or expired medications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by Tennessee state law
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture Certification preferred
