Practice Highlights

- Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation
- Administers oral medications; performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections
- Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during medical treatments, exams, and procedures

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program, OR three or more years of relevant healthcare work experience in lieu of a diploma, OR a current Medical Assistant certification
- CPR certification required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Comfort with clinical procedures including injections, venipuncture, and point-of-care lab testing
