Practice Highlights
- High-volume call center environment with a minimum expectation of 60 inbound patient calls handled per day
- Scheduling support across multiple clinic locations within a 12-county South Texas footprint
- Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, cancellations, rescheduling, confirmations, and follow-up on referrals and voicemail inquiries
- Routes incoming calls according to departmental guidelines; documents messages and creates tasks for Triage and Technician-On-Call
- Coordinates with physicians and technicians to obtain approval for work-in or schedule-override appointments
- Enters and maintains patient demographics and insurance information in the practice management system
- Educates patients on secure patient portal services and policies
- Monitors appointment queues and prioritizes tasks in alignment with scheduling goals

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or healthcare field training preferred
- Prior call center experience preferred
- One year of experience in patient registration or a related role within a medical group practice preferred
- Two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage high call volume with speed, accuracy, and composure
