About the Community
Nacogdoches is one of the oldest towns in Texas, situated in the Piney Woods of East Texas — a region known for its towering loblolly pines, lakes, and a slower, affordable pace of life. The city is home to Stephen F. Austin State University, which contributes a vibrant cultural and collegiate atmosphere, and the area offers strong public schools, low cost of living, and easy access to outdoor recreation including Nacogdoches Lake and the Angelina National Forest. Dallas and Houston are both reachable within a few hours, making Nacogdoches an appealing base for clinicians who want genuine community roots without sacrificing access to major metro amenities.
