Practice Highlights
- Medical office setting operating under physician direction — consistent, predictable outpatient environment
- Clinical duties include vital signs, patient history intake, medication reconciliation, and chief-complaint assessment
- Administers prescribed oral medications and injections; performs venipunctures and point-of-care lab testing
- Prepares equipment and provides hands-on assistance during physician exams, treatments, and procedures
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation in the patient medical record per practice policy
- Responsible for instrument cleaning, sterilization, storage, room stocking, and supply inventory
- Administrative scope includes scheduling, appointment coordination, pre-certification of surgeries and tests, phone triage, patient check-out, and referral management

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required; three years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of diploma
- Current Medical Assistant certification accepted as an alternative pathway to meet the experience/education requirement
- MA diploma from an accredited school plus at least one year of relevant work experience is strongly preferred
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required at hire)
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Compliance with HIPAA privacy standards and federal/state healthcare regulations required
