<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Medical office setting within a multi-specialty physician network serving 12 counties across South Texas</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities including vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures; prepares equipment and exam rooms for daily schedule</li> <li>Administers oral medications and performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing</li> <li>Coordinates specialized consultations, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered procedures and surgeries</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations including phone management, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains clean, sterile, and stocked exam rooms in compliance with infection control and PPE protocols</li> <li>Documents all clinical encounters in the patient medical record per practice charting policy</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program, OR a current Medical Assistant certification, OR a minimum of three years of relevant healthcare work experience in lieu of a diploma</li> <li>CPR certification required</li> <li>Medical Assistant certification preferred</li> <li>Comfort with clinical procedures including injections, venipuncture, and point-of-care lab testing</li> </ul>
