<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Ambulatory physician practice setting within Baptist Medical Network — a multi-specialty system covering 12 counties across South Texas</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, medical history intake, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Administers oral medications; performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-Waived and non-CLIA-Waived laboratory testing</li> <li>Prepares equipment and assists physicians during medical treatments, exams, and procedures</li> <li>Coordinates specialist referrals, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered surgeries and tests</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations including phone management, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains exam room readiness: instrument cleaning, sterilization, storage, and daily supply inventory</li> <li>Complies with HIPAA confidentiality standards and PPE/infection control protocols including bloodborne pathogen precautions</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program — OR — three or more years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of diploma — OR — current Medical Assistant certification</li> <li>CPR certification required</li> <li>Formal Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated comfort with clinical MA duties: injections, venipuncture, point-of-care lab testing, and physician procedure assistance</li> </ul>
