<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Ambulatory physician practice setting within Baptist Medical Network — a multi-specialty system serving 12 counties across South Texas</li> <li>Direct patient care responsibilities: vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Administers oral medications; performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections</li> <li>Performs venipuncture and both CLIA-waived and non-CLIA-waived laboratory testing</li> <li>Prepares equipment and provides hands-on assistance to physicians during exams, treatments, and procedures</li> <li>Coordinates specialist referrals, diagnostic testing appointments, and insurance pre-certification for ordered procedures and surgeries</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations including phone management, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains exam room readiness: instrument cleaning, sterilization, storage, room stocking, and supply inventory</li> <li>Completes all clinical documentation in the patient medical record per practice charting policy</li> <li>Adheres to HIPAA compliance standards and all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program, OR three years of relevant healthcare work experience in lieu of a diploma, OR a current Medical Assistant certification</li> <li>CPR certification required at time of hire</li> <li>Formal Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated comfort with clinical procedures: injections, venipuncture, and point-of-care lab testing</li> </ul>
