- Daily inventory management of par supply carts across all patient care areas, including restocking to designated par levels and entry into the Materials Management information system
- Responsible for expiration date verification on all par cart supplies; expired items are removed, processed for charity return, and replaced with accurate departmental charge documentation
- Processes and fulfills floor stock orders: enters orders into the information system, prints pull lists, picks items from stock, and delivers to requesting departments
- Manages walk-in customer requests and pager-based calls from user departments, ensuring all issues are completed in the information system before product release
- Coordinates both STAT and routine delivery schedules, prioritizing supply and equipment flow across the full hospital campus
- Performs cleaning and maintenance of all par supply carts as part of routine daily duties
- Supports continuous, efficient operation of the Materials Management Department through basic clerical functions including printing and replacing order forms in stock order books
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in central supply or materials management in a healthcare setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to perform repetitive duties accurately on a daily basis
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate workload to meet daily deadlines
- Strong customer service skills; comfortable handling walk-in and pager-based requests from clinical departments
