<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Outpatient primary care setting within the DMC Medical Group network, serving the greater Detroit and southeastern Michigan patient population</li> <li>Direct clinical support role working under physician direction — vital signs, patient history, medication reconciliation, visual acuity assessment, and chief complaint documentation</li> <li>Administers oral medications; performs intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections; and conducts venipunctures</li> <li>Performs both CLIA-waived and non-CLIA-waived laboratory testing on-site</li> <li>Prepares equipment and assists physicians during medical treatments, exams, and procedures</li> <li>Coordinates specialized referrals, consultation scheduling, and insurance pre-certification for ordered surgeries and diagnostic tests</li> <li>Supports front-desk operations including phone triage, appointment scheduling, patient check-out, and referral processing</li> <li>Maintains exam room readiness: instrument sterilization, room stocking, supply inventory, and compliance with PPE and infection control protocols</li> <li>Completes all clinical documentation in the patient medical record per practice charting policy</li> <li>Affiliated with the Detroit Medical Center — a regional academic health system with broad subspecialty depth spanning cardiology, neurology, sports medicine, and more</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> <li>Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required — or three years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of diploma; current Medical Assistant certification also satisfies the requirement</li> <li>Preferred: MA diploma from an accredited school plus at least one year of relevant clinical experience</li> <li>CPR/BLS certification required</li> <li>Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)</li> <li>Must comply with applicable federal, state, and/or local vaccination requirements; proof of full vaccination or an approved religious/medical exemption required prior to start date</li> </ul>
