- Service lines include orthopedics, obstetrics, and cardiovascular care — supporting a broad inpatient acuity mix on Med/Surg and Telemetry
- Coordinator oversees unit scheduling, break management, staffing adjustments, and daily workflow for the RN team
- Responsible for matching patient care needs to caregiver competencies; delegates and supervises RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Leads orientation and competency validation for new hires; coordinates annual competency completion for all unit staff
- Acts as liaison between pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, and hospital administration
- Develops and implements processes to meet regulatory and compliance requirements at the unit level
- Monitors and evaluates appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care on an ongoing basis
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona required
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
- Minimum two years of relevant clinical nursing experience
- Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Certification in a specialty area of practice preferred
- Current CPR required; ACLS required upon orientation completion for Telemetry assignment
- Demonstrated ability to make independent clinical decisions in high-acuity, high-stress situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience managing departmental budget processes a plus
