Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear, Arizona is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Coordinator for its Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. This leadership-track RN role combines direct patient care with unit-level coordination — scheduling, staff development, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operational oversight — at a 200-bed acute care hospital recognized for advanced surgical and cardiovascular services in the West Valley. The position is well-suited for a clinician ready to step into a formal coordination role while remaining hands-on at the bedside.

Practice Highlights

  • Service lines include orthopedics, obstetrics, and cardiovascular care — supporting a broad inpatient acuity mix on Med/Surg and Telemetry
  • Coordinator oversees unit scheduling, break management, staffing adjustments, and daily workflow for the RN team
  • Responsible for matching patient care needs to caregiver competencies; delegates and supervises RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
  • Leads orientation and competency validation for new hires; coordinates annual competency completion for all unit staff
  • Acts as liaison between pre-hospital providers, medical and nursing staff, and hospital administration
  • Develops and implements processes to meet regulatory and compliance requirements at the unit level
  • Monitors and evaluates appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona required
  • Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
  • Minimum two years of relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Certification in a specialty area of practice preferred
  • Current CPR required; ACLS required upon orientation completion for Telemetry assignment
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent clinical decisions in high-acuity, high-stress situations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience managing departmental budget processes a plus
