Practice Highlights
- Primary responsibility is processing and responding to legal requests: attorney billing, affidavits, depositions, and subpoenas, with direct attorney follow-up as needed to meet state-mandated deadlines
- Account management duties include updating patient accounts for bankruptcy notices and submitting adjustments for patient accounts
- Posts and deposits attorney checks as part of daily financial processing workflow
- Validates and updates account information across four platforms: ACE, STAR, Epic, and Meditech
- Performs supporting clerical functions including sorting correspondence, filing, sending routine letters, photocopying, scanning, and document indexing
- Fast-paced, multi-task environment requiring the ability to prioritize competing legal and administrative deadlines simultaneously

Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in a healthcare, legal, or business office environment
- Working knowledge of healthcare terminology and intermediate familiarity with the healthcare industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; excellent listening and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated ability to research independently, manage multiple tasks, and learn new systems quickly
- Prior experience with ACE, Epic, STAR, or Meditech systems is a plus
- Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys and third parties
