About the Community

Worcester is Massachusetts' second-largest city, offering an urban lifestyle with a notably lower cost of living than Boston — located just 45 miles to the east via I-90. The city is home to a thriving arts and dining scene, multiple colleges and universities, and a growing downtown. Outdoor recreation, including hiking in the Wachusett Mountain region and access to numerous lakes and state parks, is readily available throughout central Massachusetts, making Worcester an attractive base for clinicians who want proximity to a major metro without the associated cost or congestion.
