A multispecialty physician group serving the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area is recruiting a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care across its network of primary care and specialty outpatient clinic locations. The organization operates approximately 20 outpatient clinic sites, five acute care hospitals, and four neighborhood emergency centers, giving MAs broad exposure to a diverse patient population and a wide range of clinical specialties. This is a non-exempt, direct-hire position with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for new hires and a full benefits package from day one of eligibility.

- Procedural scope includes administering oral medications, injections, venipunctures, and point-of-care lab testing
- Assists physicians directly with medical treatments, exams, and procedures; prepares equipment and exam rooms
- Responsible for instrument cleaning, sterilization, storage, room stocking, and supply inventory
- Administrative responsibilities include scheduling appointments, pre-certifying surgeries and diagnostic tests, managing referrals, answering phones, and supporting patient check-out
- Documentation completed in the patient medical record in accordance with practice policy and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required; three years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of diploma; current Medical Assistant certification also satisfies the requirement
- MA diploma from an accredited school plus at least one year of relevant work experience is strongly preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required if diploma or experience requirement is met)
- Must adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and all applicable federal and state healthcare regulations
