<p>A leading healthcare system in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex is recruiting a full-time Nocturnist Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider — either an AGACNP/ACNP or Physician Assistant — to join an experienced, high-acuity trauma team in North Texas. This role places an APP at the center of Level II trauma activations and acute care surgery, with procedural scope spanning the ED, ICU, step-down, and trauma floors. The position is purpose-built for an APP who thrives in a fast-paced overnight environment and wants genuine clinical ownership alongside attending trauma surgeons.</p>

<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time nocturnist schedule embedded within a high-volume trauma surgery service at a North Texas healthcare system</li> <li>Primary responsibility for managing Level II trauma activations overnight, with involvement in higher-acuity cases as needed</li> <li>Broad procedural scope: EFAST exams, endotracheal intubation, central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, and laceration repair</li> <li>Clinical coverage spans the emergency department, ICU, step-down unit, and trauma floor — full continuum of acute trauma care</li> <li>Direct assistance in trauma and acute care surgery operative cases</li> <li>Close collaboration with trauma surgeons and a multidisciplinary team including critical care, nursing, and ancillary services</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or Physician Assistant</li> <li>Active Texas APP license or demonstrated ability to obtain prior to start</li> <li>Background in trauma, critical care, emergency medicine, or surgery strongly preferred</li> <li>Strong procedural proficiency and independent clinical decision-making skills in high-pressure environments</li> <li>BLS required; ACLS, ATLS, and/or FCCS preferred</li> </ul>
