About the Community

Salisbury is the commercial and cultural center of Maryland's Eastern Shore — a genuinely livable small city with a low cost of living, no meaningful traffic, and a strong sense of community anchored by Salisbury University and a growing arts scene. Ocean City's beaches are 30 minutes away, and Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia are each within a 2.5-hour drive, giving physicians easy access to major metros without paying urban prices to live near them. For clinicians prioritizing quality of life alongside a substantive clinical role, the Eastern Shore is an increasingly compelling destination.
