About the Community
Austin consistently ranks among the most desirable cities in the United States — a dynamic, fast-growing metro with a thriving food and music scene, year-round outdoor recreation along the Colorado River and Barton Creek Greenbelt, and a technology and innovation economy that draws a highly educated, diverse population. Texas levies no state income tax, and while Austin's cost of living has risen with its popularity, the financial offset of tax savings remains substantial. The Hill Country, Lake Travis, and direct flights to virtually every major U.S. city make Austin a city where physicians genuinely choose to build long-term careers.
