About the Community

Pennsylvania offers a wide range of living environments to suit the traveling clinician — from the cultural depth and world-class dining of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to quieter mid-state communities with low cost of living, strong school systems, and easy access to the Appalachian Trail, Pocono Mountains, and Chesapeake Bay region. The state's density of major academic medical centers and community cardiac programs makes it one of the most clinically rich travel destinations in the Mid-Atlantic corridor, and its central East Coast location keeps multiple major cities within a short drive or flight.
