This locum teleradiology opportunity covers multiple Florida facilities (4–5 sites) with fully remote overnight shifts — no on-site presence, no call, and scheduling as flexible as one week per month. The role is an immediate-start, ongoing engagement suited to radiologists who want to control their own workload, stack shifts around existing commitments, or build a sustainable night-coverage practice from anywhere. Competitive overnight pay rates and zero call obligations make this one of the cleaner locum structures available in the Florida teleradiology market.

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive pay rates structured specifically for overnight remote coverage
  • Locum tenens (1099) independent contractor engagement
  • Immediate start with ongoing, open-ended assignment length
  • Fully remote work — no facility presence required, no vaccine mandates
  • Zero call requirements — overnight shifts only, clean handoff at end of shift
  • Maximum scheduling flexibility: full-time coverage preferred but as little as one week per month accepted
  • Ability to piece together shifts based on personal availability and lifestyle goals

Practice Highlights

  • Coverage spans 4–5 Florida facilities via teleradiology platform
  • Overnight remote shifts only — no daytime or hybrid on-site obligations
  • No call of any kind; clean shift-based structure with no after-hours callbacks
  • Radiology Partners (RP) workstation required for all charting and image interpretation
  • Required modalities: CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound — proficiency in all three is mandatory
  • MRI reading is not required; providers who do not read MRI will never be placed solo on an MRI-reading shift
  • Productivity floor of 60–90 RVUs per shift guaranteed by the provider; typical shift volume runs 70–100 RVUs
  • RVU productivity standards apply — volume is consistent and predictable across the overnight window

Qualifications

  • Active Florida medical license required prior to start — no exceptions for remote coverage of Florida facilities
  • Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology; board certification or board eligibility expected
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound interpretation at independent overnight-coverage level
  • Ability to meet RVU productivity standards of 60–90 RVUs minimum per shift
  • Familiarity with or willingness to work within the Radiology Partners (RP) workstation environment
  • MRI reading capability is a plus but not a requirement for participation

About the Community

The covered facilities are located across Florida, with the primary point of contact based in Boca Raton — a coastal South Florida city known for its year-round warm climate, Atlantic beaches, upscale dining, and strong school systems. Because this role is fully remote, the radiologist can be based anywhere while holding a Florida license, making it equally attractive to Florida residents and out-of-state providers looking to add a flexible overnight income stream without relocation.
