About the Community

Tacoma sits on the southern end of Puget Sound, offering direct access to the natural beauty of Mount Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, and the San Juan Islands — all within a short drive. The city has undergone significant revitalization, with a vibrant arts scene, waterfront dining, and a cost of living meaningfully lower than Seattle, which is just 35 miles to the north. Tacoma's strong public and private school options, diverse neighborhoods, and year-round outdoor recreation make it a compelling destination for physicians seeking Pacific Northwest lifestyle without the premium price tag of the greater Seattle core.
