OB/GYN Hospitalist Medical Director

StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting an OB/GYN Hospitalist Medical Director for a 536-bed acute care facility — recognized as a Best Maternity Hospital in 2025 — in Tampa, FL. ### What you'll do - Cover 5–7 twenty-four-hour in-house shifts per month, managing labor and delivery and providing coverage for unassigned OB patients - Oversee and develop the OB/GYN hospitalist physician team - Lead team drills and simulation-based training to maintain clinical readiness - Provide in-house support for general OB and emergent gynecology cases - Mentor OB/GYN residents as part of the hospital's graduate medical education program ### What we're looking for - MD or DO with board certification through ABOG or AOBOG - Minimum 2 years of clinical experience beyond residency - Current competency in deliveries and emergent gynecologic surgery - Florida medical license in hand or ability to obtain - Prior leadership experience preferred ### What's included - Competitive hourly compensation plus a Medical Director stipend - Comprehensive benefits package - Florida NICA annual fee covered by employer - Paid professional liability insurance with full tail coverage - CME allowance ### About the practice This 536-bed acute care hospital in Tampa earned a Best Maternity Hospital designation in 2025, reflecting a high-volume, quality-focused labor and delivery program.
