Emergency Medicine Physician – Near San Antonio

StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician for a 67-bed acute care hospital approximately 45 minutes south of San Antonio, TX. ### What you'll do - Provide physician coverage in a Level IV Trauma Center emergency department seeing approximately 15,000 patients annually - Work within a schedule of up to 120 hours per month on a 1099 independent-contractor basis - Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers during 12 hours of daily APP coverage alongside 24-hour physician coverage - Document encounters using the Meditech EMR system - Coordinate care across available on-site specialties including Orthopedic Surgery, Cardiology, Sports Medicine, and Urology ### What we're looking for - MD or DO degree with board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine - Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one - Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care emergency department - J-1 visa candidates are accepted ### What's included - Competitive 1099 compensation with scheduling flexibility up to 120 hours per month - No state income tax in Texas - Supportive, team-oriented emergency department environment ### About the practice This facility is a 67-bed acute care hospital and Level IV Trauma Center affiliated with a healthcare system serving South and Central Texas.
