  • Part-time benefits package available
  • Paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage included
  • CME allowance provided
  • Leadership development opportunities within the post-acute care division
  • EMR training and ongoing technical support furnished
  • Tennessee has no state income tax

  • Part-time schedule: two clinical days per week
  • Post-acute care setting — skilled nursing facility (SNF) and inpatient rehabilitation
  • Medical Director role with both clinical and administrative leadership responsibilities
  • Collaborative team environment with back-office and administrative support staff
  • EMR system in place with full training and support provided at onboarding
  • Post-acute care experience is preferred but not required — the organization supports physicians transitioning into this setting

  • MD or DO degree required
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics
  • Active Tennessee medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee
  • Post-acute care or SNF/rehabilitation experience preferred; new-to-setting candidates with relevant clinical background are welcome

About the Community

Alamo is a close-knit small town in rural West Tennessee where healthcare providers are recognized as essential community assets and the cost of living is among the most affordable in the state. Tennessee's absence of a state income tax stretches every dollar further. Memphis lies approximately 80 miles to the west, providing convenient access to a major metropolitan area — international airport, professional sports, world-class dining, and tertiary medical centers — while Alamo itself delivers the unhurried pace, friendly neighbors, and genuine small-town character that many clinicians actively seek.
