StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a high-acuity ED with a leading healthcare system in Alexandria, LA. ### What you'll do - Provide emergency care in a high-volume department seeing approximately 60,000 annual visits - Work 12-hour physician shifts within a schedule structured at 48 physician hours per day - Manage patients across a 51-bed ED, including 10 holding beds and a dedicated fast-track area - Collaborate with on-site APP teams providing 72 APP hours per day in 12-hour shifts - Document patient encounters using the MediTech EMR, with scribe support available - Coordinate care with specialty backup services and on-site APP leadership ### What we're looking for - Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine - Active Louisiana medical license or eligibility to obtain one - Comfort managing high-acuity, high-volume emergency presentations - Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based care model ### What's included - Competitive compensation (specific range available upon inquiry) - Scribe support to reduce documentation burden - Strong APP and specialty backup infrastructure - Opportunities for career growth within a multi-site Southern Louisiana footprint ### About the practice This emergency department is part of a leading Louisiana healthcare system and is equipped with 51 beds, advanced APP support, and robust specialty backup.
