About this role

StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join the largest cardiology group in Central Texas at a dedicated Heart Hospital in Austin, TX. ### What you'll do - Manage complex advanced heart failure patients alongside two existing heart failure physicians at a 72-bed specialty heart hospital - Participate in a mature LVAD and ECMO program with a high-volume advanced heart failure service - Contribute to the development of a new cardiac transplant program - Provide care within a comprehensive cardiovascular facility featuring three catheterization labs, hybrid ORs, and electrophysiology services - Engage with one of the largest non-academic cardiovascular research programs in the world ### What we're looking for - Board-certified cardiologist with board eligibility or board certification in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology - Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain - Comfort working in an employed, multi-specialty cardiology group environment - Experience with LVAD, ECMO, and advanced heart failure management preferred ### What's included - Competitive guaranteed base salary (employed model) - Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, disability, life, and AD&D insurance - 401(k) with employer matching and CME allowance - Occurrence-based malpractice coverage - Licensure and board recertification costs covered ### About the practice The group is the largest cardiology practice in Central Texas, comprising 48 physicians, 50 APPs, and 245 total staff serving 14 full-time offices across a region the size of Maryland for over 25 years. Clinical capabilities include structural heart, cardiac MRI, adult congenital, LVAD/ECMO, advanced heart failure, and an active research program. The affiliated Heart Hospital is recognized as one of the highest-performing cardiovascular facilities in the country.
