About this role
StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physician for a 17-bed ED in Thibodaux, LA, located between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
### What you'll do
- Provide physician coverage across 12-hour shifts in a 17-bed Emergency Department with a dedicated Fast Track area.
- Manage a daily patient census of 80–120 patients within an ED seeing approximately 35,000 visits annually.
- Work within an overlapping physician and APP coverage model (36 hours daily each) designed to optimize patient flow.
- Document clinical encounters using the MediTech EMR system with scribe support available.
- Collaborate with a well-resourced clinical and operational support team to maintain an admission rate of approximately 13%.
### What we're looking for
- ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Active Louisiana medical license and DEA number, or ability to obtain both.
- Comfort managing high-acuity, high-volume emergency presentations in a community hospital setting.
