Emergency Medicine Physician – Independence, MO

An Emergency Medicine Physician is needed to join the full-time staff at a Level II Trauma Center operated in partnership with StaffMed Health Partners in Independence, MO. ### What you'll do - Provide attending-level emergency care across a 42-bed ED managing approximately 65,000 patient visits annually - Work 10-hour physician shifts within a 60-hour daily physician coverage model - Collaborate with a robust APP team covering 58 hours weekdays and 48 hours on weekends - Evaluate and treat acute cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, and trauma presentations supported by on-site subspecialists - Practice within an accredited chest pain center and Joint Commission–certified Primary Stroke Center - Participate in the anticipated expansion to a freestanding emergency department (FSED) opening Fall 2025 ### What we're looking for - Board certification through ABEM or AOBEM required - Active Missouri medical licensure required - Comfort managing high-acuity and high-volume emergency presentations - Ability to work collaboratively with APPs and a broad subspecialist team ### What's included - Competitive compensation with a sign-on bonus - Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance - 401(k) with company matching and employee stock purchase plan - CME time and dues allowance - Paid time off and disability coverage ### About the practice This Level II Trauma Center in Independence, MO features 285+ private rooms, 440+ physicians on staff, and advanced cardiovascular, stroke, and orthopedic service lines.
