About the Community
Osage Beach sits at the center of the Lake of the Ozarks, a reservoir with 1,150 miles of shoreline — more than the entire California coastline — offering world-class bass fishing, wakeboarding, lakefront dining at spots like Dog Days Bar & Grill and Baxter's Lakeside Grille, and the castle ruins of Ha Ha Tonka State Park perched on a bluff just 15 minutes from town. Median home prices run approximately $280,000, with a cost of living roughly 15% below the national average, and the area is served by the Camdenton R-III and School of the Osage school districts. Jefferson City, the state capital, is an hour to the northeast, and Kansas City is approximately two and a half hours north — close enough for a weekend trip, far enough to enjoy genuine small-town lake life every day.
