Emergency Medicine PA Alexandria

StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join a high-volume Level III Trauma Center ED in Alexandria, Louisiana. ### What you'll do - Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and emergency treatments across a diverse patient population - Collaborate with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and specialists to manage acute and non-acute cases - Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies to support clinical decision-making - Perform emergency procedures within APP scope of practice - Document and track patient encounters using MediTech EMR - Work 12-hour shifts within a 72-hour daily APP coverage model with varied start times ### What we're looking for - Board-certified PA with an active Louisiana license and prescriptive authority - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required - ATLS certification required - Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting - Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and team-oriented communication skills ### What's included - Base compensation of $85/hour plus a $15/hour metrics-based incentive - Flexible scheduling with consistent APP coverage across varied shift start times - Specialty backup and hospitalist support within a well-resourced ED environment ### About the practice This Level III Trauma Center ED sees approximately 60,000 patient visits annually and maintains 72 hours of daily APP coverage. The department operates under a physician-led model with strong specialty backup, giving APPs the support infrastructure to manage both high-acuity and routine emergency cases effectively.
