About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's outpatient pulmonology clinic in Brandon, Florida, supporting a Monday–Friday day-shift practice at 401 Oakfield Dr. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, health history, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor pulmonology procedures and document results accurately in the practice's designated EHR at the time of service - Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and communicate results to patients with clear instructions - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary guidance relevant to pulmonary and chronic disease management - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policy adherence - Monitor and manage clinical inventory to ensure adequate supplies and properly functioning medical equipment ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems ### What's included - Hourly pay range $17.11–$27.38 (~$35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off beginning Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Medical Group Pulmonology at Brandon is an outpatient specialty clinic within the AdventHealth system, one of the largest faith-based, not-for-profit health systems in the country.
