About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's outpatient pulmonology clinic in Brandon, Florida, supporting a Monday–Friday day-shift practice at 401 Oakfield Dr.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, health history, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Assist with minor pulmonology procedures and document results accurately in the practice's designated EHR at the time of service
- Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and communicate results to patients with clear instructions
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary guidance relevant to pulmonary and chronic disease management
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policy adherence
- Monitor and manage clinical inventory to ensure adequate supplies and properly functioning medical equipment
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
