About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a PRN Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for day shifts (7a–7p) at Timber Ridge Emergency in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patients, and apply treatment and transport methods per medical protocols.
- Drive an ambulance safely and defensively in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Complete patient care reports, billing documentation, and other required paperwork per established guidelines.
- Assist higher-trained personnel in delivering effective patient care on scene and during transport.
- Maintain the ambulance and all medical equipment in a constant state of operational readiness.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, medical personnel, and other emergency responders throughout each call.
### What we're looking for
- Active EMT or EMT-Advanced certification (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Valid driver's license and state licensure in Florida (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1+ year of field experience as an EMT (preferred).
