About this role

AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a full-time Lead Consumer Access Specialist for its patient registration and revenue cycle team in Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and enter authorization data accurately into the system - Register patients by collecting and validating demographic and financial information across all service lines - Perform Medicare compliance reviews, eligibility checks, and complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires - Generate patient cost estimates, collect upfront payments, and establish appropriate payment agreements - Support the department supervisor with quality audits, staff mentoring, training coordination, and scheduling - Document all patient and insurance interactions in the EMR and coordinate logistics with case management as needed ### What we're looking for - Minimum 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of revenue cycle experience (required) - Advanced knowledge of insurance benefits, third-party payer processes, and hospital EMR systems - High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in business or related field preferred - Familiarity with CMS, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance requirements - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $18.39–$29.43/hour ($38,251–$61,214 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities across the United States.
