About this role
AdventHealth Fruitland Park ER is hiring a full-time Night Shift Emergency Room RN at its freestanding ER in Fruitland Park, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors upon arrival and throughout the shift.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans in response to patient outcomes and changing clinical status.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and coordinating with the emergency care team.
- Document all patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in real time in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care to support understanding and recovery.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) — required; Bachelor's Degree (BSN) — preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification — required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience — preferred.
- TNCC, PEARS, or CCNS certification — preferred.
- Strong EKG interpretation skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously.
