About this role
AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is hiring a full-time RN for its Surgery unit at its hospital campus in Lenexa, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient assessments to guide individualized care planning.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare team members, ensuring quality and efficiency of care delivery.
- Respond promptly to code situations and provide stabilizing interventions as required.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
- Proficiency in English (read, verbal, and written) and basic computer navigation skills.
