Pharmacy Technician Inpatient PRN

AdventHealth Central Texas is hiring a PRN Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at its Killeen, Texas hospital, with rotating day, mid, and evening shifts including weekends. ### What you'll do - Accurately prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning - Operate and troubleshoot medication automation systems, automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs), and pharmacy software using electronic health records - Maintain inventory integrity by rotating stock, removing expired medications, and ensuring accurate medication counts and documentation - Handle, process, and dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with safety protocols using appropriate PPE, spill kits, and environmental procedures - Identify, report, and help prevent potential medication errors including look-alike/sound-alike risks - Provide coverage across central/distributive pharmacy operations, decentralized services, and ADC management under pharmacist supervision ### What we're looking for - Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) licensure required - Sterile Compounding/IV Certification required - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school training preferred - Inpatient pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred - Proficiency in hospital computer systems and pharmacy automation preferred - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to work under direct pharmacist supervision ### What's included - PRN rate of $23.95/hour; pay range $17.66–$28.25/hour - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Central Texas is located at 2201 S.
